Why I Started This Podcast for Grieving Parents

Today, as I launch this new website, I’m filled with a mixture of emotions—anticipation, nervousness, but most of all, a sense of purpose. When I first considered starting a podcast for grieving parents, it felt like a daunting task. How do you find the right words to speak to a broken heart? How do you convey hope in the midst of pain?

But the more I thought about it, the more I realized that those are the very questions we all wrestle with in our grief. I wanted to create a space where we could face these questions together, openly and honestly. A place where stories of loss are shared with tenderness, and where moments of comfort, connection, and healing can be found.

I decided to start this podcast because I know how isolating grief can feel. I’ve been there myself, navigating the complexities of loss, and I know that sometimes, just hearing someone else’s voice—someone who truly understands—can make all the difference. Through this podcast, I hope to offer that voice. I hope to remind you that you are not alone and that there is still a reason to hope, even when the days feel darkest.

It feels fitting that this podcast and website are launching today, on my daughter’s birthday. It’s a way to honor her life and keep her memory alive in a way that brings light to others who are navigating this difficult journey.

Thank you for joining me on this journey. Whether you’re here to listen, to share, or simply to find a moment of solace, I’m grateful that you’re here. Together, we can create a community where love, loss, and hope coexist in a way that honors our children and carries us forward.

With love and compassion,
Carrie Ann
